Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- Discuss and apply the value of an integrated interventional/surgical
approach to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and vascular disease.
- Choose when and how to appropriately apply endovascular vs. interventional
or surgical procedures in the treatment of vascular disease.
- Describe new developments and techniques in the diagnosis, medical
management and treatment of cardiac and vascular disorders, in order
to make improved patient care decisions based on outcome and cost.
Target Audience
ISET 2004 will be of value to interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons,
interventional cardiologists and all practitioners involved in the diagnosis
and treatment of vascular and cardiac disease.
Accreditation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the
Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Society
of Interventional Radiology and Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
The Society of Interventional Radiology is accredited by the ACCME to
sponsor medical education for physicians.
The Society of Interventional Radiology designates this educational activity
for up to 40.50 hours in Category 1 credit towards the American Medical
Association Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim
only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the activity.
